Robert Zemeckis To Produce a Live-Action JETSONS Series

Warner Bros. is teaming up with Robert Zemeckis to develop a live-action remake of Hanna-Barbara's classic animated series The Jetsons.

Over the years there have been a few different attempts to adapt The Jetsons into a live-action movie, now it looks like they think going the live-action sitcom route is the better way to go, and you know what? I have to agree with that.

I think the Jetsons will work much better as a series! But the studio is still going to develop the animated feature film that they've been working on.

According to TV Line, the series will be "about a family residing in the futuristic, outer-space utopia known as Orbit City." The new Jetsons would be set 100 years in the future which will put it at 2118.

The studio has also hired Family Guy Executive Producer Gary Janetti to work on the series with Zemeckis.

They've got some solid talent working on the show so I'm kinda excited to see how it turns out.
