Robin Williams Found Dead
Legendary Academy Award-winning actor and comedian Robin Williams was found dead today in his home. He was 63 years old. This is incredibly sad news, and I'm just kind of taking it all in as I write this. Williams was incredibly talented, and I grew up watching his stuff, starting all the way back with episodes of his TV series Mork & Mindy.
According to reports he was found in his home, and the cause of death is believed to be suicide via asphyxiation. That comes from the coroner’s office in Tiburon, California. A couple of weeks ago it was reported that he checked into rehab to maintain his sobriety. His publicist, Mara Buxbaum, released the following statement:
"This is a tragic and sudden loss. The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time."
The man had a great, successful career. Some of my favorite films he was in include Aladdin; Good Morning, Vietnam; Dead Poets Society; Awakenings; The Fisher King; Mrs. Doubtfire; Jumanji; The Bird Cage; Good Will Hunting; Insomnia, and so many more.
Man, the guy was a true film legend. It really does make me sad that we won't see him in any more movies. I'm really upset that this happened. Our hearts and prayers go out to his friends and family
Thank you for all the laughs, Mr. Williams.
