Robin Wright Wants in on DC Studios Wonder Woman Prequel Series PARADISE LOST
Robin Wright, the actress who awesomely played Antiope in DC’s Wonder Woman film franchise, is still interested in playing around in that world, and she would love to be a part of the upcoming prequel series that DC Studios is developing titled Paradise Lost.
During an interview with Yahoo, Wright looked back on her time working on the Wonder Woman films and said: "I loved playing an Amazon. I kinda feel like I was the leader of an Amazon tribe in my past life."
When it comes to Paradise Lost, she hasn’t been approached yet, but she definitely wants in on the project. She adds: "I haven’t received that call [about Paradise Lost] yet. Maybe I’m too old! Make that happen for me!"
Paradise Lost is part of James Gunn and Peter Safran’s Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters slate of projects. “It's going to be a Game of Thrones-esque story about Themyscira, Paradise Island, the home of the Amazons and it's also the birthplace of Wonder Woman. This drama, it's really about the political intrigue behind a society of all women.”
Gunn previously explained: “How did that come about? What is the origin of that, of an island of all women, what are the beautiful truths and the ugly truths behind all of that? And what's the scheming like between the different power players in that society. It takes place before the birth of Diana so it's an earlier history of Themyscira.”
Robin Wright is great and it’d be cool to see her return to the Wonder Woman franchise, but that’s probably not in the cards.
