ROCKET LEAGUE Goes Free-to-Play Next Week
Rocket League finally has a date for going free-to-play! Everyone will be able to enjoy the fun of soccer in cars on tehir favorite platforms for free starting September 23. To celebrate, Psyonix has quite a bit planned. First, an update is happening on September 16 that provides cross-platform progression by linking to your Epic Games Account, players who purchased the game will receive Legacy items, changes to Achievements, a new Bot difficulty, and more! This first update will also add Rocket League to the Support-A-Creator program from Epic Games. More details can be found on the official blog post.
Then, on September 23, the game will go free-to-play. This will also mark Rocket League’s launch on the Epic Games Store, revamped tournaments and challenges, the launch of Rocket Pass Season 1, the Endo Starter Pack, and the Jäger Pack.
Endo Starter Pack - Endo, Gaiden Wheels (Grey), Neo-Thermal Boost, Friction Trail, and 500 Credits
Jäger Pack - Jäger 619 (Titanium White), Apparatus Wheels (Titanium White), Toon Goal Explosion (Titanium White), and 1000 Credits
Finally, Psyonix also teased a new in-game event called Llama-Rama. No details have been released, but I really hope it’s soccer with llamas now. Just saying.
