Rockfish Games Unveils EVERSPACE 2 Early Access Roadmap for 2021

If you’re looking for a new space flying game to try out, check out Everspace 2 from Rockfish Games. The game is currently in Early Access on Steam and GOG and Rockfish was kind enough to send me a copy to check out. I won’t go into too much detail, but I have enjoyed my time in the game so far. In addition, Rockfish recently revealed their Early Access roadmap for 2021 showing off what will be added to the game as the year progresses.

EVERSPACE 2 continues the story of Adam Roslin from the first part of the series. Starting with two sprawling star systems that can be freely explored by space pilots, players experience Adam's emotional journey and personal development from an immortal clone space pilot to an individual of character whose death has final consequences in an open-world action RPG. EVERSPACE 2 offers in the current Early Access version more than 25 hours of gameplay and already contains all core mechanics of the targeted final version.

If you look at the roadmap (below) you’ll find that the story will get new content added in April along with mini-missions, a game balance overhaul, a new companion, and two new fighters. Then, more new content will drop this Summer including an increased player level cap, new missions for the story, a new companion, and even a new system called Zharkov. In the Fall, players will gain access to a fourth system, Khait Nebula; a new companion; fast travel; more main and side missions; another increased player level cap; and two new fighter subclasses.

What update are you most excited for? You can purchase your copy of Everspace 2 now from Steam or GOG for $39.99. The full game will release in 2022 with an increased price.
