Rodan Is Described as an A-Bomb, Plus Threatening Photo of the Monster

Godzilla: King of the Monsters will be bringing the famous kaiju back to the big screen along with some of his friends. King Ghidorah, Mothra, and Rodan are coming to join the fight ,and as you may be able to tell from the picture above, Rodan looks pretty sweet. Director Michael Dougherty gave a description of Rodan’s role and it sounds nuts!

“[Rodan] is a bit of a rogue… you never quite know where his loyalties lie. Godzilla’s more of a lumbering, plodding presence; it takes him a couple of days to destroy a city like Tokyo. Rodan can level it without even thinking. He’s this massive A-bomb, so there’s a speed and ferocity he brings.”

I’m just glad that Rodan is fictional so I don’t have to worry about it. Are you excited for King of the Monsters to arrive in theaters on May 31?
