Roll20 Celebrates 5 Million Users with Dynamic Lighting Update Going Up Next Week

Roll20 is a virtual tabletop that can be used for a wide variety of games including Dungeons & Dragons, Call of Cthulhu, Pathfinder 2E, Star Wars RPG, and many more. Recently, the online service hit a big milestone as they crossed having 5 million users!

In order to celebrate, Roll20 revealed tha tnext week, Pro Members would get access to the updated Dynamic Lighting tool. I’m very excited to see what the update has in store for users (they say they’ll tell us more next week) because it’s currently pretty clumsy to use.

What we do know is that the update “will integrate all lighting controls in one system and run faster to boot!”

The virtual tabletop company also took the time to reiterate their excitement about the recent addition of Custom Token Markers. This feature allows users to create custom tokens to be used for indicating things such as a character’s status. In the first week of this new feature, 5,452 unique token sets were created! There are some great uses for this tool as well.
