Ron Howard in Talks to Direct THE JUNGLE BOOK
Art by Sandoval Art
Director Ron Howard is in talks with Warner Bros. to direct and produce a feature film adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s classic 1894 novel The Jungle Book. It looks like we're going to get two Jungle Book movies in the near future, as Disney is also developing a live-action film with Jon Favreau.
I'm a huge fan of both of these directors, and it's going to be really cool to see two different visionaries like this tell the same story. Both movies are likely to turn out awesome. I'm excited to see both of them.
The story is set in the jungles of India, and centers on Mowgli, an orphaned boy raised by wolves who befriends Baloo the bear and Bagheera the black panther as he spars with the ferocious tiger Shere Khan.
The art above has nothing to do with the movie, I just thought it was a cool piece of Jungle Book art to share with the post.
