Ron Howard Is Set to Direct THE FIXER Which Tells the True Story of the CIA's Plot to Assassinate Fidel Castro
Ron Howard, fresh off directing Netflix’s Hillbilly Elegy, has set up his next film project, which is titled The Fixer. The film is set up at Paramount Pictures and is also being produced Bradley Cooper.
The story is based on “the incredible true story of a disgraced FBI agent, who, at the height of the Cold War is tapped by the CIA to lead a ragtag team of CIA operatives and Chicago mobsters on an unlikely mission to try to assassinate Fidel Castro.”
The concept for the film was pitched by Tyler Hisel, who also wrote the script. This is a top priority for the studio, and it seems like the perfect project for Howard to take on. He’s great at telling these kinds of stories. As a longtime fan of Howard’s work, I’m looking forward to seeing him make this movie.
