Ronda Rousey Might Be Portraying Sonya Blade in MORTAL KOMBAT 11

There’s a big Mortal Kombat 11 rumor that has hit ahead of its big upcoming community event. At that event we’ll learn a lot more about what is in store for Mortal Kombat 11, and there’s a big costing announcement that might be made there.

Ronda Rousey has reportedly been cast as Sonya Blade in the game. The news comes from The Nerd Mag, who also reports that Rousey might even appear at the event to talk about her role in the game. The information leaked from an internal email and this is what it said:

“Ronda Rousey will be at MK Day and will be part of the livestream stage presentation. We’re preparing a short video to introduce her and announce her as the voice of Sonya. I’ve started sending over what we have for Sonya, which hasn’t been much so far. I’m expecting a V1 soon.”

There’s also a new character rumored to be in the game. That character is named Geras and will also have a reveal trailer that “would be a mix of gameplay and cinema.”

I like Rousey and the fact that she might actually be taking on the role of Sonya Blade in the upcoming Mortal Kombat 11 game is pretty cool. She’d make an awesome edition to the game. Rousey is also a gamer herself, so I’m sure she’d be thrilled to be a part of the Mortal Kombat franchise.

Mortal Kombat 11 will be released on April 23ed, 2019 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
