RUGRATS Finds Its Director in David Bowers

The Rugrats live-action and CGI hybrid film has tapped David Bowers to be the director. This sounds perfect for him as he worked on the last three films in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series.

I’m sure he’ll do great, but I am very worried as THR is reporting that the baby characters such as Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, Lil, and the rest of the crew will be CGI with the adults being live-action. This sounds like a very bad and/or creepy idea.

Bowers will be using a script from David Goodman. What do you think of Bowers serving as director on this film?

Rugrats is currently set to release on January 29, 2021.
