Emilia Clarke's SECRET INVASION Skrull Character Rumored to Return to the MCU to Lead a Team of British Superheroes
Marvel fans weren’t left super happy with the Secret Invasion series as a whole, and even those who liked it mostly said the finale wasn’t what they hoped it would be, so it’s funny to hear that a piece of that story may end up being incorporated into the future of the MCU. Emelia Clarke played Talos' daughter G'iah, who powered-up in the final episode to become a hugely formidable "Super Skrull," displaying the abilities of various other MCU heroes.
At the end of the finale, G'iah is recruited by senior MI6 agent Sonya Falsworth, so it makes sense so assume that there are plans for the character in the MCU down the line.
Now, scooper MTTSH (via CBM) is claiming that G'iah will actually return as the leader of her own team of British-based heroes. There have been several British super-groups in the comics over the years, including the mystical Captain Britain-led Excalibur, but a version of The Union is a more likely possibility.
Formed back in 2020, this team features a roster that includes Britannia, Kelpie, The Choir, Snakes, Bulldog, and a modern-day incarnation of Union Jack, which was a mantle held by Sonya's (presumed) ancestor James Montgomery Falsworth.
Just a rumor for now, of course, but there have been whispers of a Marvel Studios project spotlighting a team of British characters for while, so this makes sense. Check out the post revealing the rumor below, and let us know what you think:
