DC FanDome was filled with awesome new information about all the DC films coming up that have seemed to be shrouded in mystery, namely James Gunn’s highly-anticipated reincarnation of The Suicide Squad.

While we didn’t get to see a traditional trailer for the movie, we did get to see a character lineup that explained who each actor would be portraying in the film. This was a lot of fun, and did a great job to get us more excited for the movie. Except there is still one character we are in the dark on, and that is Taika Waititi’s.

In a report from Splash Report, they say that that Waititi is voicing the character Starro, who is The Suicide Squad's (openly) secret villain. They add that Starro doesn't actually speak in the film, communicating only through the people he's currently mind-controlling.

The report goes on to say that Waititi is also portraying the original Ratcatcher. It’s pointed out that if you look at the ‘roll call’ teaser for the film, you'll see the distinction that actress Daniela Melchior is portraying Ratcatcher 2 and not Ratcatcher. This leaves open the possibility that Ratcatcher could be in the movie.

This is just a rumor for now, but is totally plausible. What do you think?

The Suicide Squad is currently set to hit theaters on August 6, 2021.
