Rumored Plot Details Surface For BOND 25 Tell Us How The Movie Might Start

After a lot of back and forth talk, Daniel Craig is officially coming back to reprise his role of James Bond in Bond 25. Today, thanks to Page Six we have some potential new details on the film and how the story will kick off.

The following information is only a rumor for the time being since we have no confirmation but if you’re interested in learning how Bond’s next adventure begins, by all means… keep on reading.

According to a source close to the production, Bond quits the secret service because he falls in love and gets married to Léa Seydoux’s character, Dr. Madeleine Swann. For those of you who don’t remember, he barely managed to rescue her at the end of the last movie Spectre. His happiness doesn’t last long, though. According to the report, Swann is killed early on in the film and that’s what brings Bond back into action.

The film is described a “Taken with Bond” as Bond is out to avenge his wife’s murder. This plot shares some similarities with Ian Fleming’s On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, in which Bond is married to Tracy Draco, who is brutally murdered by the villain Blofeld. Only instead of the death happening at the end of the story, it happens at the beginning of this movie.

It was previously rumored that the plot might also be based on the book Never Dream of Dying in which 007 comes "face to face with his most cunning nemesis-the enigmatic blind criminal mastermind behind the sinister organization known only as the Union."

Bond 25 is being written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, who are long time collaborators and writers on the previous Bond films such as Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall and Spectre. As of right now, there are three directors in the running to direct the film. Those directors include Yann Demange ('71), Denis Villeneuve (Arrival, Blade Runner 2049) and David Mackenzie (High or High Water). None of them have been locked in, though, so it could end up being anyone.

Craig has said that he wants to go out on a high note with this film. Hopefully, this next chapter is his best one yet. Bond 25 is set to be released on November 8th, 2019.
