Rupert Friend Joins Scarlett Johansson in New JURASSIC WORLD Movie
Rupert Friend (Asteroid City) is set to join Scarlett Johansson in director Gareth Edwards’ upcoming Jurassic World movie.
The movie is filling up its cast which also includes Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (Lincoln Lawyer) and Jonathan Bailey (Wicked).
There’s no information regarding the film’s story or the characters that the actors will be playing, but the film will be set in a modern world where dinosaurs walk the Earth and the story is sure to involve people trying to survive.
Edwards will direct from a script written by original Jurassic Park writer David Koepp, with Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, and Patrick Crowley producing.
Friend has been seen in the Wes Anderson features Asteroid City and The French Dispatch, along with his Roald Dahl shorts The Swan and The Ratcatcher for Netflix.
He also starred opposite Ewan McGregor on Disney+’s Obi-Wan Kenobi, and he will next be seen in the drama Dreams with Jessica Chastain, as well as New Line’s horror thriller Companion from Barbarian‘s Zach Cregger.
