Rupert Grint Would Return To The HARRY POTTER Franchise Under a Few Conditions
As a big fan of The Wizarding World franchise, especially those original Harry Potter films, I’ve been wondering if one day in the future the original cast and creative team would get back together for another movie. If they did, it would have to be an adaptation of the Broadway show Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which would make a great movie or two.
I imagine one day that will happen, but would the original cast come back together to do it? In a recent interview with Rupert Grint, he confirmed he would be open to reprising his role as Ron Weasley, but there are a few conditions.
During a recent interview on This Morning, he was asked about the possibility of coming back, and he responded: “I think if the timing was right and everyone was coming back. It was a character that was important to me, we kind of became the same person.”
That’s cool, but the big question is, if Warner Bros. did attempt to bring the original cast back, would they be able to get Daniel Radcliffe back? He’s always seemed like he’s been on the fence, so I guess we wouldn’t know for sure unless the studio asked him and offered him a ton of money.
WB does want more Harry Potter movies, and they have plans to expand the Wizarding World, but we have no idea what exactly their plans are. We’ll just have to wait and see!
As for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, this is the description: “It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children. While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.”
Would you like to see the original cast reunite for a new Harry Potter movie?
