A few weeks ago we learned that Russell Crowe had been cast in director Taika Waititi’s Thor: Love and Thunder. At the time, there were no details on who he would be playing, but today he let the cat out of the bag!

During a recent interview on JOY 94.9. Crowe revealed he will be playing Zeus, saying, "I'm gonna get on my bicycle. I'm gonna ride up to Disney Fox Studios, and around about 9:15 I shall be Zeus!"

Crowe went on to say that it was his last day playing the role, "It's for Thor. It's my last day of Zeus-ing about and I'm going to enjoy it." You can listen to the audio of him revealing the news in the audio clip below.

Crowe is going to be perfect in the role of Zeus! Zeus is a God of near limitless powers rivaling his Asgardian peer Odin and is the most powerful Olympian god. Zeus also possesses a power source known as the Thunderbolt. It signifies his status as head of the Olympians. It’s gonna be a lot of fun seeing Crowe bring this character to life.

Thor: Love and Thunder also stars Chris Hemsworth as the God of Thunder; Natalie Portman is back in the role of Jane Foster; Tessa Thompson is reprising her role as Valkyrie; Chris Pratt returns as Star-Lord; and Christian Bale will play Gore The God Butcher.

Thor: Love and Thunder is currently set to arrive in theaters on May 6th, 2022.
