RUSSIAN DOLL Actor Charlie Barnett Joins the STAR WARS Series THE ACOLYTE
Russian Doll actor Charlie Barnett is the latest actor to join the cast Lucasfilm’s upcoming Star Wars series The Acolyte. This will reunite him with Russian Doll creator Leslye Headland, who is developing the series. Barnett joins the previously cast Amandla Stenberg, Jodie Turner-Smith, Lee Jung-jae, and Manny Jacinto.
The series is described as “a mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era.” The High Republic is set 200 years before the Skywalker Saga begins.
It was previously explained that the show “specifically explores the rise of the Dark Side in those final days of the High Republic era.” It will also most likely involve some some major Sith characters from Star Wars Legends, which should be very interesting.
