Russian Medieval MMA Is Back and Just as Brutal and Awkward as Ever

Back when we first reported on Russian Medieval MMA, the sport was still in its infancy. To be honest, I don't know if the sport has improved since their videos have began appearing in my newsfeed again, but they definitely have more flash! The referee is in armor, the ring girls are now adolescent boys river stepping between rounds, and the whole thing is still just two dudes in armor beating the piss out of each other!

It looks hilarious and exhausting as the fight lasts 21 minutes, but by the 15-minute mark you can tell all either guy wants to do is get the hell out of the bulky armor they are wearing! I'm legitimately still surprised this fighting league is still active, although I know they have legitimate MMA fights as well. 

Watch and realize that LARPing isn't really more intense if you add period realistic armor.
