Russo Brothers Play Down the Idea of an Intermission for ENDGAME

We recently heard a rumor that Avengers: Endgame may have an intermission, but it sounds like Anthony and Joe Russo aren’t planning on it. In a recent interview with Collider, the Russos were asked about the film having an intermission. Joe says that in the editing room they joke about including one, but then Anthony pipes up to say that out of the four screenings they’ve had for audiences, no one got up to leave during the first three.

This tells me that they’re not planning on introducing an intermission, but I’d love it if they did. Of course, I don’t know everything that’s going to happen, so I don’t even know if there is a place where an intermission could happen. What do you think? I’ve seen some comments about people wanting one or they’ll wait until the home release, but are they in the minority?

Either way, you can bet that I’ll be watching Endgame when it comes to theaters on April 26, 2019.

Infinity War: Russo Brothers on VFX & Avengers: Endgame A few days ago, shortly before they won a number of VES Awards for Avengers: Infinity War, I sat down with directors Joe and Anthony Russo, Dan Deleeuw (Visual Effects Supervisor), Russell Earl (VFX Supervisor, ILM), and Kelly Port (VFX Supervisor, Digital Domain) for an extended video interview about the incredible visual effects in 2018's biggest film.
