Ryan Gosling and Warner Bros. Producing Live-Action FLINTSTONES Movie About Bamm-Bamm
Academy Award nominee Ryan Gosling (Barbie, Project Hail Mary) is teaming up with Warner Bros. to produce a live-action Flintstones movie about the character Bamm-Bamm Rubble as a grown-up.
Gosling and his Open Invite producing partner Jessie Henderson are in early development on the project, and are looking for a writer.
The first time Bamm-Bamm went from child with a banging club to grownup was in the 1971-1972 CBS Saturday morning animated series The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show, in which he was a teenager, dating Pebbles, attending Bedrock High School and landing his first job.
He and Pebbles also formed a band, the Bedrock Rockers. Fred and Wilma Flintstone and Barney and Betty Rubble made cameos in the series.
Gosling and Henderson are producers on the upcoming romantic drama Love of Your Life from director Rachel Morrison, starring Margaret Qualley, Aaron Pierre, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Gabriel Basso and Catherine Keener. The pic is world premiering at next month at the Toronto Film Festival.
