Ryan Gosling in Talks to Star in Film Adaptation of THE FALL GUY Based on the '80s TV series

Ryan Gosling (Drive, La La Land) is currently in talks to star in the film adaptation of The Fall Guy, based on the 80s TV series of the same name. The original series, which ran 1981-1986, was created by Glen A. Larson and starred Lee Majors as a Hollywood stuntman. To make ends meet, he has a side hustle as a bounty hunter.

The Fall Guy is set to shoot in Australia, and is partly set in a film studio. The project presents a unique opportunity to showcase Sydney’s landscape and film studio facilities to international audiences. Paul Fletcher, Federal Minister for Communications, Urban Infrastructure, Cities and the Arts, said that the production will also provide valuable training opportunities for local screen professionals, and is also expected to inject more than A$244 million ($171 million) into the Australian economy.

Back in 2013, The Fall Guy was in development with McG directing and Dwayne Johnson attached to star. I like Ryan Gosling a lot, and I think this will be a fun role for him if it all pans out.
