Ryan Gosling Vs. Chris Evans in Action-Packed Trailer for the Russo Bros. THE GREY MAN
Netflix has unleashed the first trailer for Joe and Anthony Russo’s upcoming $200 million+ spy thriller The Grey Man! This trailer is packed full of big action sequences as Chris Evans is called on to locate and destroy Ryan Gosling. As you’ll see, this proves to be a difficult task.
The Grey Man is CIA operative Court Gentry (Gosling), aka Sierra Six. “Plucked from a federal penitentiary and recruited by his handler, Donald Fitzroy (Billy Bob Thornton), Gentry was once a highly-skilled, Agency-sanctioned merchant of death. But now the tables have turned and Six is the target, hunted across the globe by Lloyd Hansen (Evans), a former cohort at the CIA, who will stop at nothing to take him out. Agent Dani Miranda (Ana de Armas) has his back. He’ll need it.
The movie is based on the best-selling book series by Mark Greaney, and it looks like the Russo Bros. (Avengers: Endgame, Captian America: The Winter Soldier) made a badass action film that’s going to be a blast to watch! This certainly looks like a $200 million film. Just wait until you see some of the the action sequences that are teased!
The rest of the cast includes Rege-Jean Page, Jessica Henwick, Dhanush, Wagner Moura, Julia Butters, Elme Ikwuakor, Michael Gandolfini, Sam Lerner, Robert Kazinsky, and Alfre Woodard.
Anthony Russo previously talked about the film saying: "We're big fans of the spy genre, and we're always looking for ways of how to twist it, or supercharge it, or push it into areas that feel fresh. There was a great idea at the center of this book, where it's not just about being a spy, but being the most extreme version of one, where you have to hide your own identity — and yourself."
The screenplay for the film was written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, who previously worked on Thor: The Dark World, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, along with all three Captain America films.
The Gray Man will hit theaters on July 15th and make its global premiere on Netflix on July 22nd. Watch the trailer and tell us what you think!
