We’ve got a new action-packed trailer for Lionsgate’s upcoming action-comedy Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, which is the sequel to the hit 2017 comedy The Hitman’s Bodyguard. The new trailer actually has a very ‘90s vibe to it as it features trailer voice offering a breakdown of the story. I don’t remember the last time I saw a trailer with a voiceover like this!

The film brings back Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson as they reluctantly team up for another wild adventure and blow some things up. Salma Hayek also joins in on their adventure. The new trailer offers a bunch of new footage that sheds some light on additional story details. This is a much more entertaining trailer than the first one.

In the film, “The world’s most lethal odd couple – bodyguard Michael Bryce (Reynolds) and hitman Darius Kincaid (Jackson) – are back on another life-threatening mission. Still unlicensed and under scrutiny, Bryce is forced into action by Darius’s even more volatile wife, the infamous international con artist Sonia Kincaid (Hayek). As Bryce is driven over the edge by his two most dangerous protectees, the trio get in over their heads in a global plot and soon find that they are all that stand between Europe and a vengeful and powerful madman (Antonio Banderas). Joining in the fun and deadly mayhem is Morgan Freeman as… well, you’ll have to see.”

Patrick Hughes returns to direct the film, with original writer Tom O’Connor penning the story and the script alongside Phillip and Brandon Murphy. The movie also stars Richard E. Grant (Star Wars: Rise of the Skywalker), Morgan Freeman (Million Dollar Baby), Antonio Banderas (The Mask of Zorro), Frank Grillo (The Purge), and Tom Hopper (The Umbrella Academy).

The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard will make its theatrical debut on June 16th.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
