Ryan Reynolds's CLUE Remake Is Looking at MUPPETS Filmmaker James Bobin to Direct

James Bobin, the director behind films such as The Muppets, Alice Through the Looking Glass, and Dora and the Lost City of Gold, is in talks to direct Ryan Reynolds’s upcoming remake of Clue.

The movie was set up at 20th Century, and Jason Bateman was originally attached to helm the film but he ended up dropping out due to scheduling conflicts with Netflix’s Ozark.

Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the writing team behind Deadpool, Zombieland, and 6 Underground, wrote the script for the film, which is based on the classic Hasbro board game.

I’m a huge fan of the original movie which starred Christopher Lloyd, Tim Curry, Madeline Khan, Michael McKean, and Eileen Brennan. That film followed six guests who are anonymously invited to a mysterious mansion. After their host is killed, the visitors must cooperate with the staff to identify the murderer as bodies pile up.

This could be an incredibly fun movie if it was done right. I would personally love to see Hugh Jackman end up in the role of Colonel Mustard. Seeing him and Reynolds finally work together again on a film project would be amazing. I imagine the plan is to bring together an A-list ensemble cast. Who would you like to see cast in the film?
