Ryan Reynolds Doesn't Think A Disney Buyout Will Change X-FORCE
Ryan Reynolds doesn't know a lot about the X-Force film slated to release a couple years from now, but he does seem pretty confident about one thing. The X-Force film will be largely unaffected by a potential Fox-Disney merger, according to Reynolds, who spoke to Collider about the film's progress:
“It really is at the moment—and maybe it’s an illusion, and maybe I’m naïve—but it’s business as usual at Fox. I also like to think, and again I don’t know anything, I’m not an executive over there, but I like to think that the acquisition of Fox, by whether be it Comcast, Disney, or Myspace for fuck’s sakes, I like to think that whoever buys Fox is buying it to keep intact, and to allow it to be its own entity. I mean, it’s a valuable asset, it’s under a totally different set of rules and leadership. So, I don’t know, I would assume that it’s just gonna be business as usual, but fuck if I know.”
As for what the X-Force film is going to be about, Reynolds said he had little to offer in that respect. Essentially there's a general outline for the story that everyone is happy with, but a script has yet to be written. As far as rating is concerned we can all assume it's going to be R-rated, but Reynolds again said that without a script he can't really say for certain. Are you less optimistic that a Disney merger would screw up an X-Force film? I don't think it'll effect things all that much.
