Ryan Reynolds Grants the Wish of a Young DEADPOOL Fan
In case you didn't like Ryan Reynolds enough, the actor granted the wish of a young Deadpool fan who wanted to meet him and his alter ego Deadpool. The fan's name is Tony Acevedo, and he is battling Hodgkin's Disease. This whole thing was organized by the Make a Wish Foundation, and you can see a couple photos from the Deadpool movie set that Reynolds posted on his Instagram below. Here's what Reynolds said:
"Tony Acevedo asked Make A Wish Foundation if he could meet Deadpool. I wasn't expecting him to sneak the mask, put on the gloves, smile... and then beat Deadpool about the face, arms and jugular with blazing speed. Tony's next fight is with Hodgkin's Disease. Hodgkin's Disease best be wearing its brown pants."
I love it when people go out of their way to do awesome stuff like this. I also included a new behind the scenes image of Ryan Reynolds all decked out as Deadpool in the upcoming film that we’re all excited about. It’s a shot similar to many of the set photos that we’ve seen from the movie. The photo has been spilt into two parts, so you have Deadpool in one and the crew shooting him in the other.
I can’t get enough of this stuff. I’m really excited about this movie, and I think director Tim Miller is going to give fans exactly what they want. He and Reynolds have both said that that’s what they plan on doing, and judging by what I’ve seen and heard about the film so far, they actually might deliver on the promise.
Deadpool hits theaters on February 12th, 2016.
