Ryan Reynolds Originally Wanted To Play The Wally West Version of The Flash

Everyone picks on Ryan Reynolds’ Green Lantern. Even Teen Titans GO! to the Movies has a joke about it. Reynolds himself makes numerous jokes about it in Deadpool and Deadpool 2. However, it turns out that Reynolds wanted to play a different DC hero before agreeing to be Hal Jordan. This probably won’t surprise you, but he wanted to be Wally West’s Flash. At Comic-Con, the actor was asked about any other heroes he wanted to play and here's his answer:

“I would say Wolverine, but God, I would be terrible. Honestly, I wanted to be the Flash — the Wally West version — but I think all of those ships have sailed.”

That seems like a really good fit given how Reynolds really does well with the comedic, mouthy characters. Do you think Reynolds would’ve made a decent Wally?
