Saban Films Has Picked Up the Rights to Comedy FRIENDSGIVING With All Star Cast and Ben Stiller Producing
Saban films has won the rights to the ensemble comedy film, Friendsgiving, from director Nicol Paone, who is making her feature directorial debut. The film stars a cast of some very funny women, including Malin Akerman (Rampage), Kat Dennings (2 Broke Girls), Chelsea Peretti (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Christine Taylor (Zoolander), Jane Seymour (Wedding Crashers), Aisha Tyler (Archer), Wanda Sykes (Black-ish), comedian Margaret Cho, and Fortune Feimster (The Mindy Project).
Deadline reports the following story description:
Film follows a glamorous, newly divorced actor, and her recently-dumped lesbian best friend. Together, along with their motley crew of close friends and strange acquaintances, they host a dysfunctional, comical and chaotic Thanksgiving dinner.
This sounds like it could be a funny film, so hopefully the writing is good for the talented cast they’ve hired. Ben Stiller is producing, and the production is looking for a 2020 release date. I’m hopeful this will be a hilarious film. Does it sound like a fun one to you?
