Sacha Baron Cohen Makes an Instructional Gun Video For Toddlers in This 10-Minute Clip From WHO IS AMERICA?
Controversial comedian Sacha Baron Cohen has a new series coming to Showtime called Who is America?. The series is set to premiere tonight and ahead of its premiere, he released a 10-minute clip in which we see him heavily transform himself as he dupes a couple of gun rights activists. One of the main things they discuss is putting guns into the hands of children to protect themselves during mass shootings.
Cohen sits down with pro-gun rights activist Philip Van Cleave in an interview where he asks, "They tried to stop 4-year-old children from having access to guns? What is the logic?" He then brings Cleave's onboard to help make a ridiculous instructional gun video for toddlers that was obviously designed to make Cleave look like an idiot.
WHO IS AMERICA? is a half-hour series from comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, in his return to series television for the first time in more than a decade in the genre he created first in Da Ali G Show. In the works over the past year, WHO IS AMERICA? explores the diverse individuals who populate our unique nation, and features Baron Cohen experimenting in the playground of 2018 America.
This has is already become a controversial series. I'm sure some people will have a good laugh at it, while others are absolutely going to loathe it because of its mean-spirited nature. Like Cohen's previous shows, this one is definitely designed to ruffle some feathers.
The seven-episode series premieres tonight on Sunday, July 15th at 10pm.
