Sadie Sink to Star in Futuristic Post-Apocalyptic Rock Opera O'DESSA
Sadie Sink (Stranger Things, The Whale) has just landed the lead role in a post-apocalyptic rock opera film set in the future titled O’dessa. The project is set up at Searchlight Pictures and Jason Binnick (Patti Cake$) is set to direct.
The movie is set in a post-apocalyptic future and is about “a farm girl on an epic quest to recover a cherished family heirloom. Her journey leads her to a strange and dangerous city where she meets her one true love –but in order to save his soul, she must put the power of destiny and song to the ultimate test.”
This sounds like it could be a really cool movie and one that Sink will have a lot of fun making. Sink is on her way to having a very successful acting career, and she seems to be taking on strong projects that showcase her talents.
Searchlight Presidents Matthew Greenfield and David Greenbaum said in a statement: “We are so excited to be collaborating with Geremy again. With O’dessa, he brings extraordinary and visceral energy to a whole new cinematic landscape.”
This will be Sink’s next project, and she will start shooting the film this May in Croatia before the highly-anticipated final season of Stranger Things Season 5.
