Sam Raimi and Alexandre Aja Are Developing an Alligator Horror Movie Called CRAWL
With Paramount Pictures finding success in the horror genre with their most recent film A Quiet Place, they are now moving forward with a new low-budget horror movie called Crawl. The movie is being produced by Sam Raimi and directed by Alexandre Aja (Piranha 3D, Horns).
The film is described as a self-contained thriller that "centers on a young woman who, while struggling to save her father during a Category 5 hurricane, finds herself trapped inside a flooding house and fighting for her life against Florida's most savage and feared predators."
Those savage a feared predators are alligators. That certainly sounds like it would be an intense situation to be in! Aja wrote the most recent draft of the script and I'm curious to see how the movie turns out. Aja has made some entertaining and wild films in his career and this seems like the kind of film project that is right up his ally.
