Sam Raimi in Talks to Direct a BERMUDA TRIANGLE Movie

It looks like Sam Raimi might finally have a new film project to direct! I'm a huge fan of the Evil Dead and Spider-Man director, but he hasn't directed a film since Oz: The Great and Powerful, which was released in 2013.

I know he's been busy helping develop the Evil Dead TV series, but it's about time he gets back into directing. I'm itching to see a new film from him. According to THR, he's currently in talks to take on a mystery thriller that centers around the legendary Bermuda Triangle.

This is one of three Bermuda Triangle film projects in development, and it's set up at Skydance Productions. The other two are in development at Universal Pictures and Warner Bros. There are no story details for any of these projects, and there are so many different stories to tell.

One thing we know for sure in that it will revolve around the infamous area of the Atlantic where hundreds of ships and planes have mysteriously gone missing. I've been fascinated with the Bermuda Triangle since I was a kid. I've read so many books and have watched some many documentaries on it over the years. Now we're getting a handful of movies, and it's about damn time! There's never really been a great Bermuda Triangle film, but I did enjoy The X-Files episode that revolved around it!

The studio has been developing this film for five years and the most recent version of the script was written by Doug Miro and Carlo Bernard, the co-writers on films such as The Sorcerer's Apprentice and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. That doesn't spark too much confidence, but if Raimi thinks the script is good and takes the project, I believe there's a chance that maybe he could give us something awesome.

What do you think about Raimi possibly taking on a film project that revolves around the Bermuda Triangle?
