Sam Raimi Producing a Supernatural Rom-Com Film Titled YOU'RE DEAD HELENE
Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert from Ghost House Pictures are set to produce a new supernatural romantic comedy titled You’re Dead Helene. The film is based on an award-winning short film written and directed by Michiel Blanchart, who will also direct the feature film.
Raimi seems excited to be involved with the project and had nothing but praise for the director, saying, “The film is touching and terrifying. Michiel is one of the few modern directors that can balance humor and terror, and he does it in an exciting new way.”
In the short film, “Maxime lives with the ghost of his girlfriend Hélène. Wishing to put an end to this frankly unbearable situation, Maxime finally decides to break up with her. Hélène doesn't seem ready to accept this decision.”
Well, I can’t wait to see how this film turns out! I’m a big fan of horror comedies, and it’ll be interesting to see how this supernatural rom-com turns out.
TriStar Pictures has acquired the rights to the film and it’s also being produced by Michaël Goldberg and Boris Van Gils at Playbox Pictures.
