Sam Raimi Set To Direct a New Horror Thriller Titled SEND HELP For 20th Century Studios

Evil Dead franchise creator Sam Raimi has found his next film project. He is set to direct and produce a new horror thriller titled Send Help for 20th Century Studios.

The film is described as “a two-hander horror thriller set on an island, falling somewhere between Rob Reiner’s Stephen King adaptation Misery and Robert Zemeckis’ classic Castaway.”

Color me intrigued! This sounds like it will be a film that tells an interesting and dark story. The script for the film is being written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift.

Raimi will produce alongside Zainab Azizi, President of his Raimi Productions, and we’re told the film is expected to get a theatrical release.

Raimi’s most recent directing credit is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and there have been rumors of him returning to direct another Marvel movie at some point.

He’s also known for his work on the Spider-Man franchise, as well as titles like Drag Me to Hell and Oz the Great and Powerful. As a producer, Raimi’s upcoming films include the horror thriller Don’t Move, and the horror thriller Locked, starring Bill Skarsgård and Anthony Hopkins.
