Samara Weaving Is Set to Star in the Action Horror Movie AZRAEL

Ready Or Not and Scream 6 actress Samara Weaving is set to star in an upcoming action-horror movie titled Azrael. The producers hope this film is the start of what could be a big franchise.

Unfortunately, there are no details to share regarding the story, but it will be directed by Evan Katz (Haunting of Bly Manor) from a script written by You’re Next scribe Simon Barrett (Godzilla Vs Kong 2).

It’s explained that Joker financier Jason Cloth and his C2 Motion Picture Group partner Dave Caplan (The End We Start From) recently picked up the rights to the project after a competitive situation, and they will finance and produce.

Also producing are Dan Kagan (Significant Other) and Barrett. Cloth and Katrin Kissa (November) are executive producers.

Look, I’m just a fan of Samara Weaving! She makes super fun films, and I’m sure she’s going to be awesome in whatever this movie turns out to be. Principal photography is slated to begin October 10th in Estonia.
