Samara Weaving to Star in LIZ Biopic Based on Life of 'America's Forgotten Founding Mother' Elizabeth Patterson Bonaparte

Samara Weaving (Ready or Not, Bill and Ted Face the Music) has signed on to star in the upcoming biopic Liz, “a biopic about one of America’s forgotten founding mothers, Elizabeth Patterson Bonaparte.” Adam Leon, who previously wrote and directed the films Gimme the Loot and Tramps, is directing the film from a script written by Gabriel Neustadt.

Variety reports the film “tells the story of the country’s first modern celebrity. Elizabeth Patterson Bonaparte gained prominence as the first wife of Napoleon Bonaparte’s youngest brother, Jerome, and revolutionized America’s social scene in the time of Jefferson’s presidency. Elizabeth, who has been called one of America’s first international celebrities, was known for her fashion, wit and independence.”

This sounds like an interesting historical movie, and I think Weaving is a great fit for it. I’m interested in hearing more about the story and seeing where this movie lands. Does this sound like an interesting story to you?
