Samuel L. Jackson Joins Chris Pratt in The New Animated GARFIELD Movie
Samuel L. Jackson is set to star alongside Chris Pratt in Alcon Entertainment’s upcoming animated film adaptation of Garfield.
The movie is based on Jim Davis’ classic cartoon strip, which was one of my favorites when I was a kid. I owned all of the book collections, I watched and enjoyed all of the animated specials, and I remember reading the comic strips in the newspaper while eating cereal in the morning.
Garfield followed a cynical and lazy orange cat and his interactions with his owner, Jon Arbuckle, along with his fellow pet, Odie. The stories always made me laugh, and I’m looking forward to seeing how this film turns out. Hopefully, it’s better than the previous movies that were made.
Jackson will play a brand-new character created for the film, Garfield’s father, Vic.
The film comes from director Mark Dindal (Chicken Little, Emperor’s New Groove) and David Reynolds (Finding Nemo) adapted the screenplay.
