Samuel L. Jackson's Voice is Now Available on Alexa Complete with an Explicit Option

Earlier this year Amazon announced they would be implementing a celebrity voice program for their Alexa devices. Well, that has officially kicked off with the voice of Samuel L. Jackson! You can now add his voice to your Alexa device for 99 cents and that seems like a good price to allow you to interact with Samuel L. Jackson in all sorts of fun and useless ways. Oh!, and if you want him to cuss at you, that can be arranged.

You can buy and enable the Samuel L. Jackson skill right here, or you can ask just your device directly by saying "Alexa, introduce me to Samuel L. Jackson". During the setup process, you'll be asked if you want the clean or explicit content version. I’m not sure why anyone would want Jackson’s voice on your device if he’s not going to swear.

After you download it you can interact with him in a variety of ways, the same way that you do with the standard Alexa assistant. When you ask for whatever it is you want, you just have to start out with, "Alexa, ask Samuel L. Jackson...".

He’s in the cloud baby! Hollywood legend Samuel L. Jackson is here to add some fun to your Alexa experience. Just ask and Sam will give you the weather, play your favorite music, tell jokes, and more.

To get started, just say, “Alexa, introduce me to Samuel L. Jackson.” Then, choose whether you’d like Sam to use explicit language or not. If you change your mind later, simply go to the settings menu of the Alexa app to toggle between clean and explicit content.

After purchasing, try saying:

“Alexa, ask Samuel L. Jackson where he is from.”

“Alexa, ask Sam to wake me up at 7am.”

“Alexa, ask Sam Jackson to sing happy birthday.”

Although he can do a lot, Sam won’t be able to help with Shopping, lists, reminders or Skills.
