SAMURAI JACK Creator Genndy Tartakovsky Discusses His Film Projects BLACK KNIGHT and FIXED
The creator of Samurai Jack, Genndy Tartakovsky, recently made a surprise appearance at a Annecy Sony Pictures Animation presentation to talk about a couple of adult-themed animated film projects that he’s been working on. These are on top of his upcoming series Primal.
The films he is currently developing are Black Knight and Fixed. Black Knight is an “action-adventure epic about a highly skilled and loyal knight who, after failing to protect his king, must transform himself into the Black Knight to save the kingdom.” When taking about the project, he said:
“If you take any action movie you’ve ever loved and you add ninjas.. you get Black Night.”
As for Fixed, that will be an R-rated comedy and it tells the story of an average dog “who learns that he is going to get neutered the next morning.” Tartakovsky explained:
“It’s really funny and heartwarming, it’s not all about balls, we’re trying to make it a character comedy.”
Both projects sound great! I love the work, imagination, style, and art that Tartakovsky brings to his animated projects and I’m sure these two film projects are going to turn out great!
