San Diego Comic-Con Announces Plans For Its Free Comic-Con@Home Event
San Diego Comic-Con has officially announced its plans for its Comic-Con@Home event, which is taking place July 22-26, 2020. You’ll be happy to learn that the event will be free for everyone and there will be no limits on how many people can attend.
I love attending San Diego Comic-Con, I enjoy the vibe and I enjoy the city of San Diego, and I enjoy seeing and hanging out with my friends. While that will be missed this year, at least they will be bringing the fans something and you won’t even have to wait in line! You'll also be able to print your badges!
SDCC spokesperson David Glanzer said, “For the first time in our 50-year history, we are happy to welcome virtually anyone from around the globe. Though stay-at-home conditions makes this a very difficult time, we see this as an opportunity to spread some joy and strengthen our sense of community.”
They still have yet to reveal what panels we will be able to attend virtually, but that information will eventually come. I hope that they are able to put some good ones together and also show off some cool stuff! The convention says they will provide additional details in announcements leading up to the event.
When it comes to exclusives and limited merchandise you can only buy at the convention, there are plans for an online Exhibit Hall that comes complete with everyone’s favorite exhibitors who will be offering promotions, specials, and limited-edition products that are unique to the celebration. In addition, they will also have a Masquerade, gaming, and many other activities in which fans can participate from their own homes.
Fans can check the official Comic-Con and WonderCon blog, SDCC’s website and social channels, and the official channels of their favorite pop culture creators in the weeks to come.
