Sandra Bullock To Star In The Christopher McQuarrie Scripted Remake of The British Miniseries UNFORGIVEN
Sandra Bullock (Speed, Bird Box) has signed on to produce and star in a film adaptation of the British miniseries Unforgiven, which has been picked up at Netflix. Graham King (The Aviator, Bohemian Rhapsody) will also produce, with Nora Fingscheidt (Systemsprenger) directing from an adapted screenplay by Christopher McQuarrie (Mission: Impossible, The Usual Suspects, Edge of Tomorrow).
Deadline provides the following rundown:
Currently untitled, the film follows Ruth Slater (Bullock) who, released from prison after serving a sentence for a violent crime, re-enters a society that refuses to forgive her past. Facing severe judgment from the place she once called home, her only hope for redemption is finding the estranged younger sister she was forced to leave behind.
I love dramas, and I love me some Sandy B. I’m absolutely on board, and I’m excited to see who they cast alongside her. McQuarrie is also a great writer and with him on board, we know the story and script are going to be solid.Did you watch Unforgiven? Are you interested in this film?
