Sandra Bullock Set to Star in Netflix Post-Apocalyptic Thriller BIRD BOX
Netflix is producing an intriguing post-apocalyptic thriller called Bird Box and according to Variety, Sandra Bullock is set to star in it. The movie is being directed by Susanne Bier and the script comes from Eric Heisserer, who wrote the hit sci-fi film Arrival, so there's a good chance that the script for Bird Box is going to be solid.
The story follows a woman and a pair of children who are blindfolded, and make their way through a post-apocalyptic setting along a river.
Why are the children blindfolded!? That doesn't seem like it would be the best way to travel. What caused the apocalypse?! Where are they headed!? So many questions and I'm intrigued. It sounds like it will be another strong movie role for Bullock to take on.
Netflix is kicking ass with their film productions. I just wish I could watch some of them on the big screen. A couple of their upcoming films include the supernatural thriller Bright starring Will Smith and Outlaw King starring Chris Pine.
Bullock just finished shooting Ocean's Eight and will start shooting Bird Box in the fall.
