Saoirse Ronan Set to Star in Steve McQueen’s BLITZ and Apple Original Film
Saoirse Ronan (Little Women, Brooklyn, Lady Bird) is set to join the ensemble cast of writer and director Steve McQueen’s next film Blitz from Apple Original Films. All we know about the story right now is that the film tells the stories of Londoners during the Blitz of World War II.
The film project is being produced by New Regency, who previously partnered with McQueen on 12 Years a Slave and Widows. The movie will also be produced by Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner of Working Title Films, and Arnon Milchan, Yariv Milchan and Michael Schaefer from New Regency. I expect you to know who these people are.
Anyway, Ronan is a talented actress who most recently starred in the murder mystery whodunnit film See How They Run, and she was fantastic in that! One of the best parts of the movie and it’s great to see her land another big profile project like Blitz.
The movie is scheduled to begin filming later this year.
