Sarah Michelle Gellar Thinks Zendaya Should Star in a BUFFY THE VAMPIRE Slayer Reboot
There have been a few attempts over the years to reboot the classic ‘90s series Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Back in 2018, it was announced that Joss Whedon was going to be developing a reboot of the series for Fox. There hasn’t been any news on that reboot since, so I imagine it’s dead, especially with all of the allegations surrounding Whedon. I imagine no one in Hollywood wants to work with him now.
Well, if a Buffy The Vampire Slayer reboot ever does happen, original series star Sarah Michelle Gellar reveals who she thinks should star in it. Here’s what she said in a recent interview for the new book Into Every Generation a Slayer Is Born: How Buffy Staked Our Hearts:
"I vote Zendaya.”
I have to say… I love the idea of Zendaya taking on the role of the Vampire Slayer! She is a great choice! I actually wouldn’t mind seeing that happen, but again, as of right now, no Buffy The Vampire Slayer reboot is in development. If it happens, though, Zendaya has my vote as well. She’s shown that she can pull off that fun perky attitude, and she’s also got the drama acting chops as well.
