Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans Set to Star in Director Jason Bateman's PROJECT ARTEMIS
Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) and Chris Evans (Captain America) are teaming up again for a new film project titled Project Artemis, which Jason Bateman (Ozark) is set to direct.
Apple has also snatched up the project in a $100 million deal, which is another huge purchase for the streaming service studio. There’s a lot of star power attached to the project, and Apple obviously loved the story if they are forking out that kind of cash.
We don’t really have any plot details to share. All we do know is that the story is set against the space race. The script was written by Rose Gilroy, daughter of writer-director Dan Gilroy and actress René Russo.
Evans and Johansson have apparently been looking for film projects to team up on after their time together on the Marvel films. They came close on a project titled Ghosted, which is another project that Apple scooped up. Johansson had to drop out after scheduling conflicts, and Ana de Armas replaced her.
It’s great to see that they’re coming together on Project Artemis, and I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of story it will tell.
Johansson will produce with Jonathan Lia and Keenan Flynn through their These Pictures production company, which commissioned and developed the script. Bateman will produce via his Aggregate Films banner.
