Scarlett Johansson Shares Childhood Story Reinforcing Her Love of the JURASSIC PARK Franchise
Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee and Marvel actress Scarlett Johansson is about to embark on another beloved franchise with the upcoming sequel, Jurassic World 4, which is set to hit theatres next year.
She has not been shy about proclaiming her love of the films which came before, and her excitement to join the next story.
In a recent interview with Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show, she shared:
“I have been trying to get in the franchise for like 15 years, like, really to do anything at all. I mean, I would happily die immediately.”
When proving her level of fandom, she told a story about the greatest gift she ever received:
“You asked me what the greatest gift I ever received was, and this is the last time I was on the show. This was pre-Jurassic casting, and I said I got a tent. I asked for a Jurassic Park tent when I was like 7 years old. I erected it in my bedroom that I shared with my sister, and I slept in it for a year on the floor.”
That’s pretty diehard! But anyone who was a kid in the ‘90s had a love for Jurassic Park. It was (and still is) a fantastic movie, and I think it’s cool that Johansson was able to make her childhood dreams come true in joining the franchise.
The new Jurassic World movie is an entirely new story that’s separate from the first Jurassic World trilogy that starred Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard.
All three Jurassic World movies grossed more than $1 billion each at the worldwide box office. Johansson is leading the new movie opposite Jonathan Bailey, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend, Luna Blaise and David Iacono.
The film is in production in Thailand.
