SCARY MOVIE 6 Posters Roast THE SUBSTANCE, NOPE, WEAPONS, GET OUT, and More Horror Hits

Paramount is going all-in on the chaos with a fresh batch of parody posters for Scary Movie 6, and they’re exactly the kind of ridiculous horror spoofs fans will enjoy.

The newly released artwork takes aim at some of the biggest horror movies from the last several years, including The Substance, Nope, Get Out, Smile, Backroom, Sinners, and Weapons.

The posters mimic the instantly recognizable imagery from those films, then completely wreck the tension with goofy visual gags and classic Scary Movie energy.

It’s the same playbook that made the franchise a hit in the first place. Take pop culture horror moments audiences know by heart and twist them into something absurd.

The marketing campaign follows the recent trailer, which already teased a long list of horror references packed into the movie. That footage included riffs on Scream 6, M3GAN, Terrifier, Heart Eyes, Malignant, and Final Destination Bloodlines.

Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, and Keenen Ivory Wayans are back writing and producing the film, with Michael Tiddes directing.

Fans of the original movies will also be happy to see Anna Faris and Regina Hall return as Cindy and Brenda. The cast also includes returning franchise favorites Dave Sheridan, Cheri Oteri, Lochlyn Munro, and Jon Abrahams. Joining the madness this time around are Damon Wayans Jr., Kim Wayans, and Heidi Gardner.

The story actually reconnects with the first two films instead of continuing the later sequels. A masked killer the group encountered 26 years earlier suddenly resurfaces, forcing Cindy, Ray, Shorty, and Brenda back together for another round of horror insanity.

Wayans recently explained the mindset driving the comedy, saying: “We’re gonna do what we always do. We’re gonna make fun of everybody because we’re equal opportunity offenders. We have a recipe, we have a formula that you can’t mimic or copy. You could try, but it’s very specific.”

After years away, it looks like the franchise is leaning hard into what audiences loved about the originals instead of trying to reinvent itself.

Scary Movie 6 hits theaters on June 5.
