SCARY MOVIE 6 Takes a Swing at Michael Jackson Biopic in New Clip

The marketing for Scary Movie 6 is already leaning into comedic chaos, and the latest footage proves it’s not holding anything back. A newly released clip shows the film taking aim at the upcoming movie Michael, delivering a ridiculous parody led by Kenan Thompson that’s exactly as over-the-top as you’d expect from this franchise.

In the scene, Thompson fully commits to the bit, stepping into the shoes of Michael Jackson with a costume and dance moves inspired by the King of Pop.

It shows him in a recording booth getting ready to lay down tracks like Billie Jean and Thriller. Meanwhile, dramatic title cards flash across the screen, hyping the legend status of Jackson with the lines: “For generations. Only one artist. Has truly touched his fans.”

Thompson spins around and drops a confident, “Shamone!” only to be immediately shut down by a producer who reminds him he isn’t actually Jackson. Things spiral from there.

The producer points out that Jackson famously had a monkey, and Thompson fires back by introducing his own substitute, a llama dressed in an outfit that looks straight out of the Beat It era.

Trying to sell the illusion, Thompson throws out a “Chee-hoo!” in place of Jackson’s signature “Hee-hee!” and “Hoo-hoo!” ad-libs. That doesn’t impress anyone in the room.

The producer bluntly tells him he has no moves, which naturally leads to Thompson attempting to prove otherwise in the most unhinged way possible. He knocks over the lyric stand, slaps a backup singer hard enough to send them crashing, and then attempts a moonwalk exit that ends with him tumbling down a staircase.

It’s dumb, chaotic, and exactly the kind of energy this series thrives on. With Antoine Fuqua’s Michael hitting theaters this weekend, Scary Movie 6 is clearly looking to piggyback on the conversation while turning pop culture into a punchline.

Directed by Michael Tiddes and written by Rick Alvarez alongside the Wayans family including Keenen Ivory Wayans, Marlon Wayans, and Shawn Wayans, the film marks a full-on return to the roots of the franchise.

Set 26 years after the original Scary Movie, the story brings back Cindy Campbell and the crew as they’re forced to reunite when their old masked killer resurfaces. Familiar faces like Anna Faris, Regina Hall, and Cheri Oteri are back in the mix, joined by returning players and new additions including Damon Wayans Jr., Kim Wayans, Heidi Gardner, Sydney Park, Felissa Rose, and Olivia Rose Keegan.

Scary Movie 6 hits theaters on June 5, 2026.
