Must Watch New Trailer for the Scary Dark Demonic Horror Film IT LIVES INSIDE
Neon has released a new trailer for an incredibly scary new horror thriller It Lives Inside. The movie comes from first-time director Bishal Dutta, and this looks like it’s going to deliver a great and creepy-ass horror story!
The movie made its big premiere at the 2023 SXSW Film Festival where it won the Midnight Audience Award. I’ve heard from people that have seen it that this is an extremely well-made terrifying movie that horror fans are going to love. So, I can’t wait to see it! This might be the next big indie horror film hit.
In It Lives Inside, “Sam is desperate to fit in at school, rejecting her Indian culture and family to be like everyone else. When a mythological demonic spirit latches onto her former best friend, she must come to terms with her heritage in order to defeat it.”
The filmmaker was inspired to make this movie based on his own childhood experience of being born in India before emigrating to be raised in America. The story is heavily inspired by both Indian demonic legend and a very personal family story from Dutta’s grandfather. The original screenplay was penned by Dutta based on a story by Dutta and Ashish Mehta.
The movie stars Megan Suri (Missing), Neeru Bajwa (Jatt & Juliet 1 & 2), Mohana Krishnan, Vik Sahay (Captain Marvel, Chuck) and Betty Gabriel (Get Out).
It Lives Inside will be released in select theaters on September 22nd.
